CanSkate is Skate Canada’s official “Learn to Skate” program. It is highly regarded by other ice sport organizations as the favoured curriculum to develop the skills needed to participate in their sports. It is also an excellent program to teach Canadians to skate for the joy of skating at any age or ability.

Skaters are allowed a 1 session grace period in which they will receive a full refund minus the Skate Canada Fee of $58.65. But MUST ATTEND the first session to be eligible for a refund. Once the second session has commenced, a medical note will be required.
Notification must be made to the Club prior to the beginning of the second session of skating for a refund.
- No guest skate time offered to any session for CanSkaters
- "Pre Canskate and CanSkate Waitlist” names will be added to the list on a "First-come First-serve" basis.
- If your child is a new member under the age of 4 and would like to join precanskate, if our sessions are full, please join our waitlist. For any questions, email tpfsccanskate@gmail.com. We will accept under the age of 4 if space allows, but you will be required to have a registered adult accompany the skater on the ice for a fee of $58.65. This person is to be 16 years or older, not a registered CanSkater or StarSkater and must wear skates. Has to be same registered person each week or you have to pay an additional $58.65 for any different adult.
- All Canskaters are required to wear a CSA certified helmet, even if above certain age.
